A local access road to Castlepark Drive in Fairlie will be closed from 12 to 23 August.

The closure of Glen Road (A78T to Burnfoot Road) and Burnfoot Road (A78T to Glen Road), Fairlie will be from 8am to 5pm daily.

The roads will be closed because of necessary carriageway improvements.

Householders in Castlepark Drive will have to use School Brae during this period.

The temporary road closure order states: "No person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency vehicles, residents within, Glen Road and Burnfoot Road and contractual vehicles associated with Carriageway works) by reason of works to be executed on or near the public road.

"It is considered necessary to make the Order due to carriageway works.

"The Order will apply to the specified roads as indicated by appropriate traffic signs, cones or under the instruction of a police officer in uniform and the effect will be to impose temporary restrictions on use.

"The Order will come into operation, Monday 12 August until Friday 23 August (weekdays only) each day or until such date as the works are completed, whichever is the earlier."
