Well-known local personality Suki McGregor has been appointed as part-time co-ordinator for BUG, the Barrfields Theatre Users' Group.
Suki, who is the North Ayrshire Citizen of the Year for her work as the Cumbrae Cludgie Cleaner, brings considerable theatrical experience to her new role.
BUG, which is chaired by Councillor Alan Hill, is the voluntary group, made up of delegates from Largs Players, the Youth Theatre, Largs Operatic Society and the Film Society.
Over the past six years they have been successful in bringing professional shows to Barrfields Pavilion Theatre.
Suki, who previously worked for the Hopscotch Theatre Company around Scotland, will help the volunteers to promote and market the professional shows, and try to boost attendances at the venue.
She is pictured visiting the new stage at Valhalladrome in Vikingar! where she met manager Tommy Duff, right, and KA Leisure Senior Customer Relations Manager, George Mitchell.
As a Millport resident, she will also continue in her part-time role keeping the island's public toilets spick and span for Cumbrae Community Development Company.
