Famous tv actor Bill Paterson is coming to Millport to help support the campaign for a fully restored town hall.
On the afternoon of Thursday 22 August, the well known Scottish actor is coming over to help promote the regeneration project - timings to be confirmed.
Bill Paterson continues a very illustrious career in theatre, stage and TV.
His credits are many - Auf Wiedersehen Pet, Truly,Madly Deeply, Dad’s Army remake film in 2016, Fleabag, Outlander and Shetland to name a few. He has very fond memories of Millport having come here for many years as a child. Some of these are mentioned in his book “Tales from the Back Green”.
He also starred alongside the daleks in an episode of Doctor Who starring Matt Smith.
Bill, who has spoken about his love for Millport in a BBC radio documentary, is keen to support the Town Hall Project and is very much looking forward to his visit to the Isle of Cumbrae.
