Fairlie Gala is set to take place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th August. The event will again take place at Fairlie Community Gardens.

Commenting, Committee Chair, Mick Carr said, "The Gala this year will be the usual mix of kids entertainment, climbing wall, assualt course, bungee trampolines and giant slide. We also have face painting, tea room, bottle stall, bar and music etc. Weather permitting we also intend to have the raft race on the Saturday too.

The Gala will kick off with the usual parade leaving from Allanton Park Terrace at  12.30pm

For the adults we will have our very successful vintage tea room and our bar with real ales and cider. Again this year we will have our special selection of gin cocktails available.

Our barbecue will be providing burgers and other hot treats throughout the day and into the early evening.

On the musical front we have the ever popular Skelmorlie Skanks headlining for us in the evening from around 7.30pm. Prior to that we will have music from Fairlie Primary Choir, Robbie Quin, LAOS junior and senior choirs and Wendy McAuslan.

On Sunday we are having a more sedate afternoon with folk music provided by local band Hingin' by a Threed from around 2pm. Bar and BBQ will again be open. Any other folkies want to come along and jam, will be made most welcome.

Keep an eye on our facebook page for any further details or last minute alterations."
