New turbine development at Skelmorlie
A public meeting is taking place at Skelmorlie Community Centre tonight regarding a new wind farm development near the village.
The proposals relate to 12 stand alone turbines with a maximum height of blade of 149.9m at a site located to the east of Skelmorlie, on the upper part of the glen, and the western slopes of Outerwards Reservoir.
The project is being carried out by Burcote Wind.
