A world famous air display team is coming to this year's Viking Festival in Largs.
Mark Jefferies Air Displays will be lighting up the skies above the annual spectacular - with the man himself planning on piloting one of the crafts.
Organisers told the News they are excited by the high-flying capture that will add to excitement to this year's proceedings.
Festival chairman Alex Gallagher said a lot of hard work had gone into securing the air display, which will take place on September 7 at 3pm.
He said: “Due to the recent tightening of the rules around air shows, we had difficulty getting final confirmation of the display, so I am delighted that we are able to finalise this.
"The Mark Jefferies team has a world-class reputation. All the pilots are British champions in their class, and even better news is that the one of our pilots will be Mark Jefferies himself.
"We have booked a two-plane display and we are looking forward to a spectacular show from them."
The team are global stars in their field and have a stellar reputation for formation and solo displays using top of the range aircrafts.
They have performed at many of the world's top displays and air shows in recent years, including events in China, Bahrain, Dubai and Iceland.
Mark, pictured, has achieved great success and worldwide recognition as one of the most accomplished aviators in the UK and is a nine times British aerobatic champion.
Mr Gallagher said: "The display above Largs bay promises to include spectacular manoeuvres, tumbles and spins in the Extra 330SC.
"Hopefully it will be a flying display audiences will never forget."
It certainly promises to go with a bang as fireworks will be attached to the wings of the planes.
