ST Columba's Episcopal church enjoyed some animal magic at the weekend.
The congregation was invited to bring their four-legged friends along to the church's popular 'animal blessing' sevice.
The annual event saw owners bring their dogs - and even a tortoise - along to join the flock.
Tails were wagging as the furry friends filled pews awaiting their turn to be sprinkled with holy water.
The blessing is held to commemorate the feast of St Francis of Assisi, who had a love for all creatures.
The church holds the ceremony in recognition of the importance pets can have in individual's life's and welcomes them each year to join their owners in worship.
The special service of thanksgiving took place during the Saturday service and was followed by coffee, tea, cakes, and sandwiches, with all profits going to SSPCA.
