The Largs RNLI is opening up its annual lunch this year for the public.
It is to be held at the Willowbank Hotel on Friday 25 October starting at noon.
Spokeswoman Cathy Holgate said: “It is always an enjoyable occasion with a great meal, good company and excellent speakers, and gives an opportunity to meet new and established volunteers and supporters.
"It is an opportunity for those who would like to hear more about this lifesaving organisation in a sociable and entertaining way."
This year the speaker is Jacob Davies who is the lifesaving manager for Scotland responsible for the lifeboat, lifeguard, flood and prevention service as well as supporting teams of crews who man the stations.
He started his interest as a lifesaving volunteer at home in New Zealand at the age of 14 years, later becoming employed there before coming to join the RNLI in 2016.
Tickets are £20 each which includes a donation to the RNLI and are available by contacting Linn at 01475 675574.
