Fairlie Art Club hosted their annual exhibition over the weekend.

Members of the club which meet in the village hall on Tuesdays throughout the year put their brush strokes to good use by having their fine works on display.

There was a good turn-out of villagers and visitors over the weekend, and the artists themselves seemed to have a good time too, judging from the photo.

Ann Tyler of the art club said: "We really had a great response, and we had 88 pictures, and we sold 29. We sold around a third of the pictures which is amazing for an art exhibition.

"The raffle and tearoom did well and the atmosphere was buzzing.

"At the Friday night preview, we had 52 people - it was standing room only in Semple Centre!"

They meet from 7-9pm at the Village Hall,

"We have some new members and have a number of good workshops and demonstrations in the pipeline,

"The next demonstration is on 5 November and it is Clive Sutton on West Kilbride."
