A drop-in session in Largs is offering advice for unpaid carers.
Do you look after a family member or friend who needs your support due to illness, disability, mental health, addiction issues or needs extra support as they grow older?
To celebrate Carers Rights Day 2019, North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership’s Carers Team is hosting a drop-in information session for unpaid carers at Brooksby Medical and Resource Centre, Largs, on Wednesday, December 4, from noon to 1.30pm.
Whether you are a new carer or have been caring for someone for a while, it’s important that you understand your rights and are able to access the support that is available to you when you need it.
The session will also be open to North Ayrshire Council staff and managers who would like to learn more about the best ways to support colleagues or staff who may also have a role as an unpaid carer.
If you can’t make it along on the day and would like to find out more, contact North Ayrshire Carers Centre on 01294 311333 or email northayrshire.carers@unity-enterprise.com
