A woman was robbed and violently kicked as a thief escaped with a three figure sum following a mugging in Largs earlier this week.
Police are appealing for information in relation to the early morning incident on 17 November.
Around 6.45am, a 34-year-old woman was walking in Eastern Avenue at its junction with The Roundel, Largs when a man approached her from behind, forced her to the ground and robbed her of cash.
He then kicked her about the body before making off.
The woman attended Inverclyde Royal Hospital where she was treated before being released.
The suspect is described as being around 5ft 8 and was wearing dark clothing and gloves.
Anyone who witnessed this robbery or has any other information that could assist police enquiries should contact CID at Saltcoats via telephone number 101 quoting incident number 1769 of 17 November 2019.
