Fairlie Community Sports Club have unveiled a new all weather tennis court in the village to complement the other all weather surface dedicated to other sports including football.
Earlier this year, work commenced on the upgrade of one of the old tennis courts. The new artificial turf court is available for use to sports club members and will be solely used for tennis.
The sports club are also on the look out for new members and new committee members to assist in the running of the club. They hope to try and do something with the remaining court.
Michael McGinty of the sports club said: "We hope to have an AGM next year - with a lot of new people moving to the village due to the new housing, we hope more people can join the club.
"We have a 100 club where you pay a fiver a month, and there are monthly cash prizes, and it helps support the club.
"With more members, we hope the revenue can keep ticking over and it would allow us to do a bit more fundraising and we could aim to do something with the third court in future.
"We really would welcome some additional input from people who will use the facilities particularly booking systems etc."
