Rail services between Ayrshire and Glasgow are currently disrupted due to severe weather.
Services between Largs and Glasgow are expected to be disrupted until at least 3pm today, Tuesday, December 10, according to Scotrail.
An update from Scotrail reads: "Due to severe weather between Stevenston and Ardrossan South Beach, train services from Glasgow Central heading towards Ardrossan Harbour and Largs will be terminated and started back from Kilwinning.
"This is due to high winds and sea spray causing the overhead wires to trip.
"Train services between Glasgow Central and Largs will be terminated at and started back from Kilwinning."
Problems with the lines started following the Met Office issuing another weather warning for major downpours across the west of Scotland.
The 9.53am Largs to Glasgow Central journey has been cancelled because of the weather.
At 11.50am, ScotRail tweeted: "Our engineers remain on-site at #Saltcoats. Latest reports from the team are that the weather conditions haven't improved enough for us to reopen to the line through the area."
