West Kilbride's Yuletide celebration in the town attracted a big turnout including some notable VIPS - Santa Claus, Rudolph the Reindeer and all his crew from Lapland!

Whilst wandering up and down the Main Street and in and out of the shops, there was the opportunity to take in the brand-new Enchanted Garden.

Populated by elves amongst the foliage and situated in the Boyd Orr Gardens, it will be decorated with cartoons of all kinds and a background of ethereal and atmospheric music and lighting - it was a magical place for all children and their parents.

Santa handed out glowsticks to the children, then the celebrations start with Santa’s Light Up Parade at the village station and the parade headed up the Main St. to the Village Hall.

The parade was led by Largs BB Pipe Band playing their exciting brand of marching music and closely followed by the Dance Depot dance troupe.

Immediately behind Santa’s sleigh were the rhythmic beat of Summwummin Drummin with their unique sound.

Children were able to meet Santa's reindeer, while there were funfair rides, and lots happening in the Barony and Village Hall from nativity scenes to Santa's Grotto, and of course, plenty of carol singers.

Organisers would like to thank everyone for a great Yuletide night; volunteers; participants; sponsors and the public at large for all their support on a Christmas cracker of an evening.
