Bad weather is causing more train disruption affecting communters on Wednesday evening.
Disruption is expected to last until around 7pm, say ScotRail.
Train services between Glasgow Central and Largs will be terminated at and started back from Kilwinning - all stations between Kilwinning and Largs cannot be served by train.
A ScotRail spokesman said: "Because of severe weather between Stevenston and Ardrossan South Beach, train services from Glasgow Central heading towards Ardrossan Harbour and Largs will be terminated and started back from Kilwinning. This is because of high winds and sea spray causing the overhead wires to trip."
Ticket acceptance in place with McGills between Largs/Gourock/Wemyss Bay and Paisley on bus numbers 901,904 and 906.
Replacement bus transport will shuttle between Kilwinning and Largs/Ardrossan in both directions calling at stations.
