There was an all action seven-a-side - at a leisurely pace - at Largs Walking Football session in the Weir indoor astroturf centre at Sportscotland Inverclyde this week.
The Robins beat the Canaries by a whopping 10-8 scoreline with former Winton Rovers man Stevie Craig and 'old timer' Johnny Urie sharing all of the ten goals. If it hadn't been for a spate of missed chances the Canaries would have had ten goals and more but had to rely on ex-Largs Thistle veteran Kenny Lynn and Bill Collins as their main scorers.
Father and son Jim and Gary Whiteman combined for a few more goals when they weren't arguing.
Sessions continue on Monday from 1 to 2 and Wednesday, 11 to 12 for a £2 fee at Inverclyde Sports Centre reception.
It may be that some turn up for the coffee and cake at the end.
