This year’s Fife Regatta has become the latest high-profile event hit by the coronavirus pandemic, with organisers announcing its cancellation.
The fifth Fife Regatta was scheduled to run from 4 - 11 June, with the event starting and ending at Largs Yacht Haven.
The event was due to celebrate the legacy of William Fife III, a local craftsman who build some of the worlds finest racing yachts, several of which were due to come home in June.
A statement said: “The circumstances surrounding the uncertainty of everyone’s situation have made it impossible for us to continue, and we are sure you can appreciate that this decision has not been taken lightly.
“In the meantime we want to thank you for your support and we wish you, your families and colleagues a smooth passage through this challenge we are faced with.
