Holy Week will be celebrated by Fairlie Parish Church with an online 'sharing' of the Lord's Supper.
Fairlie church spokesman Chris Cowpe said: "This year will be different. With our situation of social isolation we cannot gather for worship.
However, each evening in Holy Week, at 6.00pm, a short time of reflection will be streamed on the church’s Facebook page and everyone can join together.
"Then, on Holy Thursday, there will be a virtual sharing of the Lord’s Supper when everyone ‘present’ will be invited to prepare their own bread and wine, at home, and we will participate in receiving the person and
work of Jesus by faith, as we share the elements.
Holy Communion joins all people together from all times and places, therefore, the Holy Spirit’s presence is not limited to being in any specific place."
