Timberbooks in West Kilbride has donated 10,000 books to North Ayrshire Council to help the area’s most vulnerable residents during the pandemic.
The shop is distributing the books via the council’s community hubs to ensure that local people can experience the benefits of reading while the lockdown continues.
All books will be disinfected twice before being delivered to residents doors by council community hub staff and volunteers across North Ayrshire.
The donation includes a mixture of books across children’s, young adults and adult genres.
If you would like to help towards the cost of the books or cleaning materials, you can donate at www.timberbooks.co.uk/product-page/donation-to-timberbooks.
If you would like to receive books or need any other help from your local community hub, call 01294 310 000.
