Police helicopter search in West Kilbride
A major police search operation involving a helicopter and police officers searching the streets took place overnight in West Kilbride. The News understands it was in relation to a missing person.
He has been traced safe and well. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a missing person from an address on Lawfield Avenue, West Kilbride, around midnight on Sunday, 10 May.
"Officers conducted enquiries and the police helicopter was used to search the area. A 49-year-old man was traced safe and well."
