Millport Support Group are hoping to provide a rainbow of hope with a new knitting initiative.
Islanders are being encouraged to knit a rainbow to create a community lockdown blanket.
Using 4mm knitting needles (No.8 in imperial sizes) and brightly coloured double knitting wool knit in 20cm square(s) by casting on 40 stitches and knitting 40 rows of plain knitting.
Depending on your tension number of rows may vary so please measure to check the length is 20cm.
All the completed squares will be collected and sewn together by members of the Cumbrae SWI to make a blanket which will be displayed in the town hall for all to see.
For wool and needles, contact Millport Support Group on 01475 789179 and your volunteer will deliver them to your home.
