THE talented girls from the Karen Aitchison School of Dancing have been performing in the streets around Largs as residents clapped for carers and NHS and key workers every Thursday.

As the weekly event winds down, we shine the spotlight on the young ladies who have been doing their bit to recognise our local heroes.

Dance school spokeswoman Elaine Seaton said: "We have many parents and family members who work on the frontline and it’s a way of thanking them for all they do and their support to us.

"We as a school are continuing to run classes online as a way for our pupils to stay in contact with teachers and friends and continue to dance, stay active and promote wellbeing.

"I know what the girls have done has touched many people and promotes the idea that in Scotland we will get through this together!"
