Many thanks to all the people throughout Millport who have been busy knitting squares for the Community Lockdown Blanket.
Jackie Wilson, co-ordinator of the Millport Support Group, said: "Our aim, supported by Cumbrae SWI, for this project was to try to combat the loneliness that some people felt during the lockdown, and we are delighted that around 25 people, took up their knitting needles and joined in.
"We have lots more squares.
"We may have enough to make a second blanket and some even some squares left over which we could maybe donate to Knit a Square for Africa charity.
"In the meantime we are delighted that we are able to produce, for posterity, a keepsake of the time Millport was in lockdown."
When completed the Lockdown Blanket will be on display in the town, alongside the names of everyone who took part.
Cumbrae Forum are also buying and distributing wool to make baby blankets for Crosshouse Hospital
