Trading Standards warning
Trading Standards have issued a warning to readers to be wary of adverts for Covid19 home testing kits.
A spokesman for North Ayrshire Trading Standards said: "Be wary of advertisements of home-testing kits as the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency advises that there are NO home-testing kits available to legally buy online that can test whether you have the virus or not.
"Medical devices such as these require extensive testing and need a CE mark before they can be sold legally and safely in the UK.
"If you see any of these for sale online then please DO NOT BUY!"
