Torrential rain has resulted in various flood issues in Largs, Fairlie and West Kilbride.
On the A78 from West Kilbride to Hunterston, larger vehicles are permitted to pass the flooding with care, but smaller vehicles being diverted via Kilrusken Toll.
At 1.25pm, Traffic Scotland tweeted below:
There have also been reports of flooding and heavy surface water near the marina, Fairlie Petrol Station, on the Haylie Brae, West Kilbride road to Dalry and the road from the Waterside to the back of West Kilbride.
Train services between Glasgow Central and Largs will be terminated at and started back from Ardrossan South Beach. Keep up to date with Scot Rail on twitter for further updates.
The MET Office have put out a yellow warning for the remainder of the day warning of travel disruption:
- Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible
- Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
- Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
