North Coast residents are being asked to help choose a name for a new care facility for young people at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
Work is due to start on the 12-bed unit for children with complex difficulties later this year, and a shortlist of four names has been compiled.
The choices are Aspen, Foxgrove, Parkland View and Carduus (pronounced “Kar-do-us”).
The facility will be the first secure adolescent inpatient service for young people in Scotland and means that children will be cared for nearer to home.
Residents can vote for their favourite by completing a short survey online at https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/HelpChooseAName.
