Largs Lifeboat volunteers were called out to assist in the search of a missing person in the middle of the night.
Following a report at 3.15am. on the morning of Sunday August 9, the RNLI launched from their Largs station and headed across to Ascog Bay on the Island of Bute where the person was reportedly last seen.
During an extensive search of the area the lifeboat crew were informed the missing person had been found on shore.
The lifeboat was stood down and returned to station.
