Gin production in Millport is one step closer after the Isle of Cumbrae Distillers took delivery of their new still.
The 100-litre copper still has been named Maura after the patron Saint Maura of Great Cumbrae and will be the heart of distillery operations on the island.
The still was purchased from Portugal thanks to a crowdfunding initiative which raised more than £20,000 from supporters on the island and from further afield.
The distillers said: “A huge thank you to everyone who supported our crowdfund so we could purchase this beautiful still. We can't wait for you to meet her!”
