THE anticipated reopening of Largs library for the first time in over five months has been postponed.
The library was due to open on Tuesday as part of a pilot scheme alongside Irvine library, however this has been put on hold.
North Ayrshire Council say this is due to announcements from the UK and Scottish Government surrounding an increase in coronavirus restrictions.
A number of measures were to be in place at the library to keep residents and staff safe including social distancing, screens and a time limit for browsing books.
There is no date currently for when the service will resume.
