It's good news for the Largs Market in Gallowgate Square as organisers have declared the trial run as a 'roaring success'.
The chair of Largs Events Ian Murdoch has told the News that the group have applied for a permanent licence for the Gallowgate Square site but have plans for Tron Place too to enhance the outdoor shopping experience in Largs.
He said: "The trial has been a roaring success - we have been put in a great amount of care and followed the Covid19 restrictions and complied with every measure that Environmental Health and North Ayrshire Licensing have been highlighting to us.
"We are pleased with the way things have gone and local traders are happy too - we hope to make it a permanent fixture and we hope that a licence will be granted as the trial run has gone so well."
The market takes place in Largs today between 10am and 4pm.
