Repairs to a burst sewer in Largs are currently underway, Scottish Water have confirmed.
The water board have been attending to the incident throughout today.
A spokesman said: "We have contractors and additional tankers on site to manage the sewer flows and minimise environmental impact to the area.
"We understand that there may be noise from the operations that we are carrying out but additional equipment has now been sourced and will be set up the morning of Saturday 10th October in order to reduce noise levels. Once this has been implemented the Tankers will be removed from site. "
