CONSTRUCTION of the new housing at the Flatt Road development is move apace.
The former Largs Academy site is being transformed by a new £20m council housing development, which is due to be ready by the turn of the year.
Michael Ross, operations director for South West Scotland Ltd, says he is 'very pleased' with progress.
He added: "It is great to see how far we've come at our Flatt Road housing project in Largs that we are delivering for North Ayrshire Council with our building director Ashleigh Buildings."
The development will include 22 supported accommodation houses and a 28-unit sheltered housing complex.
A new scheme will provide affordable heating for all homes on the site while there will also be an adult outdoor gym at the site.
