A lonely snake is looking for a new home in Ayrshire after being cared for by the Scottish SPCA for over a year.

The charity is appealing for a new owner for Capri the corn snake after she has spent 430 days at its Ayrshire and South West Scotland Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

Lynda Hourston, centre assistant manager, said, “Capri would make a great addition to a home but sadly she keeps getting overlooked, as do many reptiles who come into our care.

“Poor Capri has been waiting over a year to find her forever home, after coming into our care when her owner sadly passed away.

“She is looking for an experienced owner who is aware of her care needs and has the time to continue handling her. She will also need a large vivarium and the correct set up to keep her happy and healthy.

“In light of Reptile Awareness Day coming up, we are hoping to find the perfect home for Capri. After spending so long in our centre, she deserves to finally find her happy ever after.”
