GREEN MSP Ross Greer is urging local residents to abide by the latest restrictions to bring Covid-19 under control.
North Ayrshire narrowly remained in level three of the Scottish Government’s latest tier system, bringing a host of restrictions on hospitality, leisure and transport.
The West of Scotland MSP is asking residents to learn the rules and follow them to make sure the next few months are as easy as possible.
Mr Greer said: “Times have been hard for everyone in North Ayrshire. The progress made over the summer gave us a brief period of something close to normality but autumn and winter were always going to be more difficult.
“The choices we all make now will decide what the Christmas and New Year period look like, so please read and follow the rules.
“The Scottish Government may have done a better job than Westminster but their test and protect system simply isn’t working well enough.
“Regular testing should also be made available to all school and hospital staff. It’s frankly infuriating that this still isn’t happening.”
