First Minister Nicola Sturgon will set out the latest restrictions for council authorities across Scotland tomorrow.

North Ayrshire residents are hoping that the area will soon be able to move into level two of the five tier restriction system.

The First Minister has given no hint at any movement, but here are the major changes that would take place in North Ayrshire if the area moved into level two.

Rules on meeting other households would stay the same, with no meeting in homes and up to six people from two different households allowed to meet outdoors or indoors in public places such as restaurants.

Restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars can open indoors for the consumption of food and non alcoholic drinks.

Alcoholic drinks can only be served indoors with the purchase of a main meal.

Last entry is 7pm and all venues must be closed and all customers off the premises an hour later.

Premises can also open outdoors for the consumption of food and alcoholic drinks.

Last entry is 9:30pm and all venues must be closed and customers off the premises by 10:30pm.

You do not need to purchase a main meal to drink alcohol outdoors in level two.

All holiday accommodation can stay open but you should only stay with your household (or extended household) in self-catering accommodation.

If you are staying with another household in a hotel or B&B you should not have more than one household staying in each room booked.

You should also maintain a 2 metre social distance between different households for the duration of your stay.

All retailers can open, however residents must not travel into or out of level three and four local authority areas except for essential reasons.

Mobile close contact service providers must not operate in level two with the exception of hairdressers and barbers.

Driving lessons are permitted, and public buildings such as libraries can open to the public.

People are advised to continue working from home wherever that is practicable.
