YOUNGSTERS at primary schools in Largs will be enjoying fresh homemade pizza - thanks to Morrisons workers.

The supermarket has donated 60 pizza making kits to pupils at Largs Primary, St Mary's Primary and Largs Early Years Centre.

Each kit includes ready to roll pizza dough, tomato sauce, grated cheese and either peppers and sweetcorn or pepperoni and ham.

They also contained a recipe card with cooking instructions and details of a competition that families can enter to be in with the chance of winning £100 Morrisons vouchers.

All they have to do is post a picture of their pizza tagging Morrisons on Instagram and include the hashtag #PizzaKitWin.

Lorraine Nicol, community champion at Morrisons in Largs, says the initiative is important to fight holiday hunger.

She said: “We want to ensure that as many children as possible have access to the food they need over the half term break, which is why we offered these pizza kits to those who need them in our local communities.

“They’re also a fun activity for families to enjoy together. We hope the children enjoy making them, and more importantly enjoy eating them.”
