A £600,000 road repair project on the A78 between Springfield Gardens and Largs Yacht Haven begins tomorrow - until March 1.

Work will be carried out from 8pm until 6am each night, with traffic management and full road closures in place.

A two-way convoy will be in place during the evening and weekend road closures will be required.

The route will operate as normal outwith the advertised times and dates.

A78 northbound traffic will be diverted at Chapelhill Roundabout onto the B780, Dalry Road to merge onto the eastbound West Kilbride Road.

Traffic will continue through James Street, North Street and Braehead to join the B784 and then onto the A760 at Largs Road.

From here, traffic will rejoin the A78 at Haylie Brae. Eastbound traffic will be diverted at Kilbirnie onto the B780, Dalry Road.

An overnight closure in advance of the works on the A760 at Haylie Brae will follow the same route with additional signage in place along the A78 between Largs and Ardrossan.

This scheme is costing £685,573.

All schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
