Network Rail have released a video explaning the work involved in clearing the railway line at Southannan which suffered from a landslide nearly two weeks ago.
Many have been asking how long the railway track to Largs will be out of action for - with a replacement bus service currently in operation.
A temporary road is having to be built to allow heavy machinery to access the area to help with the removal of debris.

👷♂️👷♀️ An update on the landslip at Fairlie, near Largs. A significant landslip brought over 4,000 tonnes of earth onto the track, over a 100m stretch. We'll need to repair overhead lines too before we can fully reopen to Largs. Repairs are expected to take several weeks. @ScotRail pic.twitter.com/iWGgbZjCtS
