The first pictures of a new crime drama that was partly filmed at Largs Yacht Haven have been released.

The marina was a filming location for a brand-new TV show coming to television screens later this year.

Cast and crew for the six-part series ‘Annika’ were seen on location filming at the marina earlier this month.

The series is based on the hugely successful Radio 4 drama of the same name, and will be shown on Alibi.

The Scottish show will see Olivier-award-winner Nicola Walker bring the leading character, DI Annika Strandhed, to screen.

Annika follows the sharp, witty and enigmatic DI Annika Strandhed as she heads up a new specialist Marine Homicide Unit.

Largs and Millport Weekly News:

The unit is tasked with investigating the unexplained, brutal, and seemingly unfathomable murders that wash up in the waterways of Scotland.

Throughout the series, Annika makes the audience her confidante by breaking the fourth wall and sharing her wry observations on the case and her life.

Additional cast members have recently been announced to feature alongside Nicola Walker (The Split, Unforgotten).

Jamie Sives (Guilt) plays DS Michael McAndrews, Katie Leung (The Nest) portrays DC Blair Ferguson and Ukweli Roach (Humans) appears as DS Tyrone Clarke.

Largs and Millport Weekly News:

Joining them are Kate Dickie as DCI Diane Oban, and Silvie Furneaux as Annika Strandhed's daughter, Morgan.
