Seamill sunset watchers got a great surprise this evening when they spotted a pod of dolphins off the shore.
Samantha Kent was on the spot to enjoy the rare sighting in West Kilbride, and took these photos.
She told the Largs News: "Because of the sunset it made their silhouettes so clear but they were further in the water from where I was standing.
"They were moving quite quickly until they started jumping out the water, it definitely was spectacular!
"Hopefully there's more marine life coming back to our waters.
"I'm hoping they're there tomorrow too, wind dependent. I'll be out on my paddleboard! It was pure luck! It was just before 6.30pm this evening."
There have also been reports of a possible Orca breaching near the North Coast shore today.
Keep your eyes peeled on the sea this weekend!
