THIS week we are taking another nostalgic trip through the Largs News' archive to revisit a few much-loved shops and pubs.
The Smugglers Bar has featured many times in our pages and always proved a very memorable place for pub goers. This picture shows local man Frank Lanni staging a disco dancing marathon fundraiser for the RNLI.
The City Bakeries was a popular takeaway and sit down spot in Hyndman's Green where the British Heart Foundation shop now resides.
Brian McMcMillan's audio visual shop in Largs Main Street had all the latest portable sets for watching show on the cable TV that came to Largs in the late 80s, offering Sky, the Super Channel and ITV Ulster among others.
The Clachan Bar in Bath Street was one of the most popular bars in Largs in the 1980s. Pictured are Kenny Robb, Gail McLean, Belinda Couch and Alec Tait who made up the 'Clachan Bar Bombers'.
The Sheiling was also a popular watering hole and this team was proudly holding The Sheiling Trophy - do you remember what it was for? Email us at editiorial@largsnews.co.uk
