A TRAVEL blogging couple who adventure across Europe have spoken highly of Largs after visiting the town.

Anu and Sri are originally from India but have been living in the UK for the last decade and are known as the Country Hopping Couple online.

The pair have explored cities and towns across the world and even having twins recently has not stopped their adventures.

Anu said: “We enjoy exploring the hidden gems, hike the mountains, stay in unique hotels and try our hands in different adventures."

The couple say they wanted to come to the area after spotting Kelburn Castle - and were surprised by Largs when they got here.

Anu explained: “We spotted the castle in a magazine and were hooked.

“We had no big expectations on Largs, except the fact that it is a seaside town and gateway to Cumbrae island, but it turned out to be a fantastic place and we only wish we had more time to explore the town.

“Even though it was winter, the vibe it had is still something I fondly remember. We walked a lot along the coast, and took the short hike to enjoy the views from Castle Hill.

"It has postcard perfect views and Haylie Brae viewpoint was one of my favourites.

“I also liked the lovely seaside promenade and we received such a warm welcome."
