North Ayrshire MP Patricia Gibson is pictured receiving her first Covid19 vaccine jab on Sunday.

As the roll-out continues in Largs and Millport, Patricia is the latest to receive the vaccine and praised the professional organisation of the NHS.

She said: "I was delighted to receive the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine today in Dalry.

"The staff could not have been more friendly, helpful or efficient."

More than 170,000 people have now received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine in Ayrshire and Arran as part of the local vaccination programme.

An army of vaccinators and support staff have been delivering vaccines around Ayrshire as people in the first nine priority groups have been offered appointments. In the 15 weeks since the first vaccines were administered on December 8 2020, the total number of first dose vaccinations given locally has reached 170,182.
