Reverend Jonathan Fleming has been officially confirmed as new minister of the Lyle Church in Greenock.
The congregation unanimously voted in favour of Johnathan being their next minister with 302 votes for and none against.
Rev Fleming was elected at St John's and Cumbrae churches in June 2017, after serving at Erskine Parish Church. He quickly became rooted in the area, setting up The Living Room mental health project, and becoming of the church chaplains at Largs Campus, and helped oversee the historic opening of the new Cumbrae Parish Church.
Rev Fleming, who is also chaplain for Girls Brigade Scotland, said: "It was a very hard decision as I have been welcomed with open arms by many in the community but I am looking forward to this new opportunity."
The decision was announced on Easter Sunday, with Rev Fleming expected to leave his position as minister at Largs and Cumbrae in June for his new calling.
