First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed that most pupils across Scotland will return to schools after the Easter holidays.
All pupils will return full-time with the exception of children on the shielding list, who will be asked to stay at home until April 26.
The First Minister said: "This is, i know, a huge relief to many children and young people - and of course to many parents and carers.
"I know, however, that it will also be a source of concern for some people.
"And so i want to give reassurance that safety will be paramount."
Nicola Sturgeon says the return to schools will involve the removal of the two metre physical distancing between pupils where necessary.
