A loving Ayrshire home is wanted for a cheeky chappie Cairn Terrier called Hamish.

Staff at Underheugh Rescue Centre are looking for a loving foster home for the 'wee monkey'.

Hamish needs to be the only pet in an adult only home, but will be a loving pooch with the right family.

The centre said: "We are appealing for a one in a million person who can help us.

"This wee chap is Hamish and we are looking for some help to get him into a foster home.

"Hamish is an older Cairn Terrier who will lift his leg in the house,he will give you a nip if he’s not happy and he will need to be the only pet in an adult only home.

"However he is a typical cheeky terrier and with someone who understands this he will be a loyal wee chappie.

"He has had loads of fun going to the run with Emma and he’s very food orientated and will happily do anything for a treat.

"Hamish was a very loved pet and he misses his home so much - he is a wee monkey but it’s up to up to find our wee monkey a home who are savy enough to cope with him.

"Please don’t let him spend the rest of his days in kennels."
