THESE photos show the 'disgraceful state' of the new Millport Cemetery as locals call for action at the site.
We recently reported how Rhona Gourley was horrified after finding a mountain of rubble from a nearby internment dumped across her husband Gordon's grave.
The council subsequently apologised, but Rhona highlighted to the council that a number of repairs are also necessary at the island cemetery.
Conservative councillor Tom Marshall has also backed an overall review of the council-run facility.
Rhona added: "These new photos show the disgraceful state of what once was a beautifully-tended cemetery."
A council spokesperson for North Ayrshire Council told the News that they are arranging to have repair works carried out to the fence and some general tidying done.
