A thrilling new trailer for the BBC drama Vigil starring Line of Duty lead actor Martin Compston has aired.
Some of the scenes for the much anticipated series was filmed at Hunterston and on the Isle of Cumbrae has aired.
Eagle eyed viewers kept a look out for any local scenes and a newscaster is seen giving an update outside the Clydeport Hunterston entrance during the exciting teaser which was broadcast after last night's Line of Duty finale. See below
The programme has been produced by the makers of hit series Line Of Duty and Bodyguard.
The trailer was broadcast for the first time after the credits for the series finale of Line Of Duty on Sunday.
Gentleman Jack star Suranne Jones, Line Of Duty’s Martin Compston, Peep Show actor Paterson Joseph and Games Of Thrones’ Stephen Dillane, Daniel Portman and Rose Leslie all feature in the programme.
The six-part series will tell the story of how the mysterious disappearance of a Scottish fishing trawler and a death on board a Trident nuclear submarine bring the police into conflict with the Navy and security services.
