An exotic arrival at Fairlie's Kip Marina has been pictured ahead of its role in an international military exercise.
The French Navy's tripartite class minehunter FS Sagittaire sailed into the area before taking part in Exercise Strike Warrior.
The vessel was comissioned in 1996 and is based in Brest, usually carrying around 50 crew.
The ship will play a role in Exercise Strike Warrior, which will see planes, vessels, vehicles and personel from a number of nations taking part in drills across Scotland.
