Largs celebrity Willie Brown is ready to make his big tv debut on BBC1 on Thursday afternoon.

Willie will be starring in 'Antiques Roadtrip' tomorrow at 4.30pm.

The famous milkman had a starring role as the BBC show returned to Narducci's dealers - with presenters David Harper and Roo Irvine turning heads as they arrived in classic cars.

The show sees antiques experts set off on a road trip around the UK searching for treasures and competing to make the most money at auction.

Willie told the News: "It was great fun and the crew were excellent to deal with. There were definitely a couple of bargains on the day to be had!

"I was asked by Franco Narducci to take part and though it would be something nice to do. The episode was supposed to be filmed back in March but had to be delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. I was Franco's assistant and loved every minute of it.

"It was around three and a half hours of filming but I'm sworn to secrecy about what happens.

"It is a show that I watch a lot of and I have learned a lot about antiques over the years, so it was really great to take part.

Franco has appeared in all 12 of the Largs productions and says he us delighted that the show has returned.

He said: "Not only are these shows broadcast all over Britain, but they are shown all over the world. I have even contacted by people who had watched the show in America so it is great exposure for Largs. I was contacted by another Narducci in the States who is an actor and he believes he may be related to me so I am going to have to check my family tree.

"We are helping to bring Largs to the nation - even my Scottie dog Angus makes an appearance in the show."
